Federowich Farms
Projects
Carbon Credits
Detailed Project Description
Federowich Farms is a 3rd generation family farm located in the Parkland area of Manitoba Canada. We have grown hemp for over 20 years focusing on grain and fibre initially and have now moved onto harvesting and processing of flower for its terpene and flavanoid rich properties. With our unique process we are able to capture grain, fibre and flower which gives us the ability to market 3 commodities off this one plant. The farm is in a constant state of change as far as how we can can be successful and at the same time reduce the use of industrial fertilizer and chemicals by introducing different methods of how we farm the land as well as introducing microbiology to our soil to increase uptake of existing nutrients to our plants. The need for change in agriculture practices is extremely important to increase sustainability and to remove risk to farmers to provide a strong future moving forward.
